I'm not in any affiliation with EA, I'm just a dude who thought this app was pretty cool and needed to give it a good rating. All these people writing one or two star reviews probably can't figure out how to use the app and could also be running it without an internet connection or on an old device. I see no reason not to give this app 5 stars because it completely deserves it. The commander game is something else we have never really seen before from a companion app and I hope that this can really set a good example for future games and their companions. The ability to check stats, change load outs and see progress are all pretty standard and are what we expect from a companion. The Commander game really makes me happy though, all these guys saying "luck of the draw isn't fair" and "the game is made so you can win" aren't really thinking about what a card game really is. When your playing Chess and the guy across the table looks like he's going laugh his head off at your next move you don't just get up and punch him, you play your turn to the best of your knowledge and then you learn about the one really specific rule you just broke and lose the game because of it.
